Medical Device Sales Representative – Northeast

SOL-MILLENNIUM Medical Group is an entrepreneurial global healthcare company dedicated to the research and development, manufacturing and distribution of high-quality medical devices that support best clinical practice while protecting healthcare workers and their patients from the risks associated with needlestick injury.

The Company sells a broad range of medical products and services to hospitals, veterinary groups, medical supply companies, government health departments and scientific research facilities in 40 around the world. We operate facilities in twelve countries, including R&D hubs in Switzerland and China. At the outset of the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, Sol-Millennium introduced a broad range of PPE and related products for use by hospital professionals, patients, and first responders, and other community organizations. During the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, Sol-Millennium introduced a broad range of protective devices for use by hospital professionals, patients, and first responders, among community organizations. Sol-Millennium also supplies syringes and needles for use in vaccination campaigns around the world.

Sol-Millennium is seeking an experienced Medical Device Sales Rep to promote and sell our needles, syringes, and PPE to hospitals and IDNs. The Sales Rep will interact with hospital personnel at all levels including buyers, inventory managers, medical practitioners, and the C-suite. As the person responsible for building out the Northwest territory, the Sales Rep will have a highly visible role within the sales team and be a key contributor to Sol-Millennium’s growth.

This role covers the Northeastern territory. Up to 50% travel will be required within New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically promote and sell Sol-Millennium products by calling on hospitals to generate and convert new customers
  • Present live and virtual product demonstrations to decision-makers showing value and driving sales
  • Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and creatively solving customer’s current product shortcomings
  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives
  • Prepare bids and negotiate contracts with potential customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of successful experience generating new and repeatable sales in hospitals and/or other acute care environments
  • Current experience selling into local acute care locations
  • Experience managing annual quota⠀⠀

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the sales cycle for major GPOs (ex. Premier, HPG, Vizient)
  • Experience selling disposable/consumable medical devices
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing and/or distribution of medical devices⠀⠀

The level and pay for this position will be based on the final candidate’s qualifications. The base salary for this role is expected to be approximately $80,000 - $90,000 base in addition to the company's sales incentive and commission plans.
