About the role
Do you have a passion for making complex information clear and accessible? If so, and you’re eager to contribute to the success of our leading workforce management solutions, we want to hear from you! We’re searching for a Technical Writer, to join our Technical Communications Team, to create and maintain user facing technical documentation. You should have a solid track record of producing engaging and effective technical content within the software industry. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to organize and present information in a user-friendly, manner is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Create, publish and maintain technical documentation including online help, user guides, product release notes and configuration guides.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, developers and other business stakeholders to seek input on technical communication needs, contribute to planning and deliver on those commitments.
- Participate in team projects to produce significant new documentation.
- Understand our solutions and the needs and preferences of end users to ensure product updates are clearly communicated.
- Follow our stylistic guidelines, methodologies, and procedures, and share your ideas for their continual improvement.
- Regularly participate in team discussions for ongoing feature work and sometimes lead discussions on topics.
- Incorporate user feedback on documentation to drive continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- 2 years plus previous professional experience as a technical writer within the software applications sector
- Portfolio of published documentation
- Be a team player in a dynamic and collaborative team atmosphere
- Strong organizational skills and experience working in an agile environment with SCRUM processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Working knowledge of technical authoring tools eg MadCap Flare or similar, graphics editing tools and HTML editing
- Knowledge of using video editing and screen recording software
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in technical communication, English, computer science field, or related area required

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
