The Role

Join our team to play a key role in transforming healthcare by contributing to the integration of Heidi's advanced AI solutions. You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams, specifically assisting with third-party integrations and backend development to support healthcare initiatives.

The position can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or remote.

You will have operated in a hyper growth startup with experience building SaaS products. You will also have a deep understanding of the key challenges engineers face and a firm grasp on design principles in prioritizing key features and capabilities.

Your superpower is how to bridge the gap between technical specifics and business needs effortlessly and turn high-level designs into real-world solutions. You thrive in challenging situations, and you appreciate the dynamics of a flexible, flat-structured work environment. You are quick to grasp the nuances and complexities of developing an AI product healthcare internationally.

What you’ll do:

  • Support and develop third-party integrations, implementing APIs and managing data flow across systems.

  • Write clean, well-structured, and efficient code to ensure reliable integration solutions using Python.

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure seamless integration functionality.

  • Collaborate with the senior engineers and team leads to document, optimize, and test integrations.

  • Contribute to API development and maintenance, improving performance and adhering to best practices.

  • Use GitHub for source control, participating in code reviews and maintaining version control.

  • Contribute to process improvements, and share knowledge across the team.

What we will look for:

  • 1-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend or integration work.

  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with RESTful APIs.

  • Familiarity with data storage solutions, such as MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with GitHub for source control, version management, and collaboration.

  • Interest in integrating third-party systems and solving complex data integration challenges.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Willingness to learn and contribute actively within a collaborative team.
