Job description

Director of Sales
Reports to: COO
Remote office based

This is an opportunity in a newly created position to provide leadership to grow sales and expand a sales force for a dynamic 16-year-old IT Services and IT Recruiting company that has been growing year after year. This individual has an opportunity to shape how the sales team functions and grows. The Director of Sales will also be involved on the strategic direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Drive growth and exceed revenue goals through enhancing/optimizing current business and identifying/closing new business.
    • Participate in senior management meetings and help develop strategic initiatives in the firm.
    • Hire, train and develop sale team.
    • Establish sales process, account plans, promotions, contests, and incentive programs.
    • Coordinates closely with recruiting departments to ensure that ordered services are delivered within scheduled deadlines.
    • Keeps senior management aware of area activities and significant problems.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
    • Act as the primary sales point of contact for major clients, addressing complex issues and resolving concerns in a timely manner.
    • Oversee client feedback processes and implement improvements based on client input.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales reps.
    • Hire, train and develop sales team.
    • Establish sales training program to promote faster ramp up with additional sales team hires..
    • Set clear goals and expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
    • Promote a collaborative and positive work environment that drives employee engagement and productivity.
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee budget and financial performance related to revenue, gross margins, profits.
    • Develop financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align sales activities with broader business objectives.
    • Present sales plans, performance improvements and strategic initiatives to senior leadership and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and other public engagements as needed.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    • Identify and implement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance sales opportunities.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive and responsive to market changes.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience expanding and developing sales teams preferably in IT services, IT staffing
    • Success increasing revenues with consistent quota attainment
    • Service industry experience - IT services, IT Staffing, Technology Device Deployments, Dispatch Field services experience a definite plus
    • Proven track record of individual selling as well as developing sales teams.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
    • Strong financial judgment and experience with budget management.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of current IT trends and technologies including AI
  • Attributes:
    • Strategic thinker with a focus on sales growth, client satisfaction and operational excellence.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Focused and able to work independently from remote home office
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
    • An associate or bachelor's degree preferred
    • Desire to continue learning through courses, workshops
