Site Superintendent – Contract / Project Based

About the Role:

The Site Superintendent will oversee on-site work and subcontractor activities at solar microgrid construction sites on behalf of BoxPower Inc.  This role is a temporary, project-based role specifically dedicated to onboarding with BoxPower and then working on the designated project. Dates for this role will be communicated to candidates during the hiring process. The role may be extended upon need and pending written confirmation from the Director of Operations.


Travel: 90%


Responsibilities:

Scopes of Work that the Site Superintendent will oversee includes:

·       Site prep, grading, cut & fill

·       Foundation construction

·       Trenching, conduit and electrical underground work

·       Solar array assembly

·       Equipment placement


The Site Superintendent will be responsible for documenting progress and activities on-site, primarily in the form of daily reports to BoxPower, detailing:

·       Client Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Sheet

·       Work progress completed each day

·       Safety incidents

·       Issues / schedule delays

·       Work planned / scheduled for upcoming 3 working days

·       Field Request for Information (RFI)

·       Potential change orders

·       Conflicts and subcontractor conduct


The Site Superintendent will communicate all problems and real-time decisions to BoxPower's chain-of-command (Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Services).

Qualifications:

·       Experience with on-site construction projects

·       Experience with interpreting electrical, civil and structural plansets

·       Experience with subcontractor coordination, scheduling, logistics, shipping

·       MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook (email and calendar)

Compensation$38 - $55 per hour
