Job Summary
The NOC personnel use various software based troubleshooting tools to perform initial problem determination, evaluation and resolution for ISD Technical Operations. After initial trouble evaluation is performed and the problem cannot be rectified, the trouble is escalated to the appropriate engineering team for problem resolution.Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree
Licenses/Certifications: Industry certification, such as Cisco Certification CCNP or similar, preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Two (2) years of experience or six (6) years of experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of one (1) years of experience assisting other NOC engineers, preferably in healthcare
Ability to handle high stress situations
Shift work required
Strong problem solving skills
Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others
Planning and organizational skills
Demonstrated record of good communication skills
Increasingly responsible experience with technical skills in a large, complex corporate Information System
Advanced knowledge of mainframe, minicomputer, microcomputer, networking and telecommunications strategies, environments, equipment, operating systems, development tools and methodologies
Principal Accountabilities
Monitors, installs, tests, debug, customize and tunes more complex operating system and utility packages.
Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.
Follows and enforces technical and documentation standards
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting other systems and application programmers in projects and complex problem solving efforts.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
