Collaborate with local employment organizations, businesses, and representatives in identifying opportunities to build a robust network of employment, career development, training and upskilling opportunities for Afghan community members across the state of Texas. Foster communications with other key stakeholders in ensuring strong employment representation. Maintain, coordinate, and track project information, key communications, and decisions made by stakeholders. Act as point of contact for city teams as they identify employment needs.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Refugee Employment Subject Matter Expert: $ 103,877
Pay commensurate with experience.

Develop and build relationships with critical employment, career development, and training and upskilling entities. Provide direct connections and referrals for community members enrolled in the program.
Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing, and delivering or presenting associated meeting materials.
Liaison between employers, workforce development entities, and city teams.
Build and maintain databases for all general labor organizations and participants in both public and private sectors.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years experience in employment services for refugee and immigrant communities.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written mediums.
Skilled at cultivating contacts with local stakeholders, workforce development entities, educational systems, systems at the local and state level.
Ability to exercise good organizational and time management skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of workforce systems, apprenticeship systems, employment resources, and upskilling opportunities for refugees and immigrants.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills in the oral, visual, and written mediums.
