Job Summary:
Ascension External Communications is seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to serve as the
Director of Digital Content, Strategy, and Engagement. This individual will develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy designed to elevate Ascension's corporate and brand reputation, amplify engaging storytelling, and increase the perception and visibility of the mission-driven work across our health system, and work collaboratively with Growth Marketing & Digital teams to achieve defined outcomes. The role requires expertise in leveraging various digital platforms, translating evolving trends into actionable strategies, and creating compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences across our digital channels, including the system website (about.ascension.org), LinkedIn, and X.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an innovative digital strategy to enhance Ascension’s online presence, focusing on reputation-building and impactful storytelling.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Use metrics and analytics to track performance, measure success, and refine strategies to improve engagement and visibility.
- Content Development: Lead the creation, curation, and publication of content for Ascension’s LinkedIn, Executive’s LinkedIns and Corporate website, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and audience interests.
- Editorial Oversight: Approve and manage an editorial content calendar for Ascension’s external platforms, collaborating with team members and leadership to align with broader reputation and communication objectives.
- Voice Consistency: Define and maintain a cohesive and authentic voice across all digital channels managed.
- Trend Analysis: Monitor and interpret evolving digital trends to inform content strategy and guide storytelling efforts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to align digital efforts with Ascension’s mission and reputation goals.
- Website redesign: Lead the strategic planning and execution of a comprehensive About website redesign to enhance user experience and align with brand and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in digital strategy, content creation, and engagement for large organizations, with a preference for experience in healthcare or mission-driven industries.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using digital metrics and analytics tools to optimize strategies.
- Expertise in digital platforms, including website content management systems, LinkedIn, X, and other social media channels.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinker with a strong understanding of current and emerging digital trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Years of experience: 5 -7 years.
