This position assists in developing and maintaining web applications for Young Life’s Developing Global Leaders (DGL) Scholarship program.

This is an excellent opportunity for DGL graduates to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting and be an integral part of the DGL team by working with DGL Administrators around the globe.

Key Responsibilities under direction of Senior Ruby on Rails Developer:

Identify and fix bottlenecks and efficiency lapses
Participate in team meetings to understand project goals and timelines

Requirements

Prefer a DGL graduate or current student
Prefer degree in Computer Sciences, Informational Systems or Technology, Coding or a related field
Knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework
Write maintainable, and efficient Ruby code
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Understanding of SQL databases
Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
Familiar with testing tools and environments
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
