Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Vulnerability Identification and Resolution: Support vulnerability assessments, prioritize risks, and coordinate with teams to implement remediation strategies.
• Threat Intelligence Integration: Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to correlate vulnerabilities with emerging threats, providing context for prioritizing remediation efforts.
• Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability scans pentest remediation, validate findings, and assess their applicability to the environment. Ensure scan coverage across all assets, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems.
• Risk-Based Prioritization: Use risk-based frameworks (e.g., CVSS) to prioritize vulnerabilities based on asset criticality, exploitability, and potential impact on the business.
• Compliance, Reporting, and Metrics: Support regulatory and internal compliance initiatives by aligning vulnerability management activities with company standards. Generate reports for audits and compliance assessments. Generate dashboards to track vulnerability trends, SLA performance, asset risk scores, and other security-related metrics.
• Incident Response Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to investigate and remediate vulnerabilities exploited during security events or simulated attack exercises.
• Lifecycle Management: Ensure vulnerabilities are tracked throughout their lifecycle, from identification to remediation and verification of resolution
• Patch Management: Assist with scheduling and applying security patches and updates for operating systems and applications to maintain compliance and security standards.
• Tool Utilization: Administer and optimize IT and security tools, such as SCCM, Crowdstrike, Qualys, and other monitoring and vulnerability management platforms
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of vulnerability management processes, procedures, and outcomes, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Other Responsibilities as Needed: Provide general IT support, contribute to IT projects, and assist with ad hoc tasks to address operational needs.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in IT security with a focus on vulnerability management
  • Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases, vulnerability scanning tools, and penetration testing methodologies
  • Experience with SLA management and metrics reporting
  • Proficiency in patch management processes and tools such as SCCM and public cloud patch management tools
  • Experience with Cyber Security tools such as Qualys, Crowdstrike, and Tenable.
  • Familiarity with cyber security asset management tools
  • Familiarity with multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions
  • 2+ years of system administration experience, including troubleshooting Windows servers and workstations, Linux servers, and networking concepts
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
  • Experience with VMware, virtualization, storage, and compute
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are preferred
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
