Job description

Plarium is an international product company and developer of mobile and computer games. Over 1300 specialists create games remotely and in offices in Israel, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, and Finland.

Our team is looking for an experienced and talented Level Designer to create fantastic locations for our new farm-crafting genre game.


You can work remotely from anywhere in Ukraine.


Responsibilities

  • Calculate the economic balance of locations, formulate requirements for new locations, and manage the technical documentation for them.
  • Create and set up game locations and objects in the Unity editor.
  • Set up prefab objects and visual effects for created locations.
  • Review and approve visual and technical aspects of new objects and items.
  • Analyze and optimize existing locations.
  • Decompose the player’s path in level design for locations.
  • Communicate with development departments during the creation of new locations.


What we expect

  • 2+ years of experience as a Level Designer/Tech Game Designer.
  • Knowledge of game mechanics and economics in the farm genre.
  • Ability to analyze user experience and draw accurate conclusions.
  • Experience in creating level designs for locations, effectively presenting content to the player and calculating the optimal path for the player in the location.
  • Experience with Confluence documentation.
  • Experience with Unity.


Desired

  • 1+ year of experience working with farm genre games as a Level Designer/Game Designer.
  • Level 20+ in two or more top farm genre games.
  • Understanding of the psychology of player behavior and core motivations in farm genre games.
  • Knowledge of mobile game monetization methods.
