Role Summary

Are you ready to drive change and innovation in global procurement? GKN Aerospace is seeking a passionate and strategic Expert in Procurement Excellence to spearhead global procurement processes, digital solutions, reporting, and training. This is your chance to shape procurement best practices, drive digital transformation, and collaborate with procurement teams worldwide.

This role will require regular travel to Bristol in the initial weeks then moving to approx once per month.

How You'll Contribute

• Own and enhance global procurement processes, tools, and systems.
• Lead global procurement functional development projects and business analytics.
• Promote collaboration across global procurement teams to advance best practices.
• Develop and introduce cutting-edge digital procurement technologies.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, including Import and Export Control Regulations.
• Foster a culture of excellence and innovation aligned with GKN Aerospace’s values.
• Manage procurement excellence projects, budgets, and deliverables while driving sustainability targets.
  
  

What You'll Bring

Essential

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• BSc degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Science.
• 10+ years of business experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Procurement and SCM.
• Proven track record in Procurement Excellence, change management, and procurement system implementation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• High proficiency in IT systems and procurement tools.
• Experience leading large-scale procurement tool implementations.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix organization and influence without direct authority.
  
  

Desirable

• Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint, Power BI, and Qlik.
• Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and its technological trends.
• Expertise in multicultural collaboration, networking, and strategic planning.
