We are currently seeking a IT Change Manager, to join our Chennai Team, and this position will be directly reporting to Global Change and Problem Manager.

About the mission we offer you:

The Change Manager is responsible for minor, significant, major change assessments and continuous improvement of the IT Change Management processes. He or she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the change management policy and processes are followed and are inline and compliant with Service Management, the ITIL framework and any required audits.

The primary objective of Change Management is to avoid unnecessary risk, unexpected downtime, ensure good communication and planning, and to prevent unauthorized changes to IT systems and services which could result in unplanned business outages, financial loss and deviation from standards or difficulty supporting day-to-day operations.

  • Has the authority and confidence to reject change requests and knowledgably advises change owners, regardless of the seniority of the requestor.
  • Assesses and approves changes evaluated as minor, significant or major within agreed internal SLTs.
  • Identifies Normal changes that can be converted to Standard.
  • Performs post implementation reviews (PIR) for unsuccessful or partially successful changes.
  • Works with technical teams and service owners to produce high quality RFCs and standard change template proposals.
  • Assembles the Change Advisory Board (GCAB) as required.
  • Chairs the Change Advisory Board (GCAB).
    • Plans the agenda.
    • Ensures CAB meetings adhere to their agenda.
  • Assists in the development of the IT Change Management framework; by identifying and assisting in the execution of continuous improvements to the change management policies and processes.
  • Provides training and coaching of the IT Change Management framework to technical teams.
  • Plans and drives the improvement initiatives.
  • Creates and maintains knowledge base articles, guides and any other necessary documentation.
  • Identifies and records any unauthorized changes.

Qualifications (Educational/Professional):

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience (required).
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience (required).


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Expert level knowledge of IT Service Management principle, best practices and frameworks like ITIL and COBIT, Change Management practices.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
  • Solid understanding of database technology and database administration principles.
  • Solid understanding of how various technologies fit together to deliver enterprise IT services.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts.
  • Solid understanding of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of information security concepts and best practices is a big plus.
  • In-depth analysis, reporting and documentation skills.
  • Candidate should have experience in providing support to the global team


Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience working in large-scale IT organizations.
  • 5+ years Change Management experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow desirable
  • Experience working in multinational, multi-cultural teams desirable.

  • Ability to successfully navigate and operate in a multinational, multicultural environment.

  • Excellent skills in leading and facilitating meetings via video/audio conferencing or other means of electronic communication.
  • Proven interpersonal and verbal communication skills are required, including excellent customer relationship skills.
