Job Overview
We've got an exciting job opening for a Content Marketing Specialist! As an experienced B2B content practitioner, you’ll use data insights to create high performing digital assets that provide value to our audience and at the same time deliver quantifiable results such as improved conversion rates, engagement metrics, and pipeline contribution for our sales and marketing teams.
You’ll be an essential contributor to the strategy and execution of a content program that increases brand awareness, educates, and produces measurable results. In this critical role, you’ll be helping create a software category and reshape the conversation around Learning Operations (LearnOps).
What you’ll own
- Strategic Content Delivery - Execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with Cognota's business objectives and audience needs, with particular focus on SEO performance
- Content Creation & Optimization - Produce polished, authoritative content across multiple formats (webinars, white papers, blogs, case studies)
- SEO Leadership - Apply advanced search optimization techniques including keyword research, competitive analysis, and technical SEO best practices to improve content visibility and performance
- Analytics & Performance - Utilize GA4 and other analytics platforms to measure content effectiveness, analyze key metrics (organic traffic, SERP positioning, conversion rates), and implement data-driven improvements
- Editorial Management - Oversee content calendar planning and workflow optimization based on keyword opportunities, industry trends, and audience behaviour data
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to align content initiatives with company-wide objectives and ensure consistent messaging
- Content Distribution - Implement effective content distribution tactics across channels to maximize reach and engagement
- Technical SEO Implementation - Apply best practices for internal linking structures, semantic markup, meta data optimization, and site architecture recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing with demonstrated SEO expertise
- Comprehensive understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and optimization techniques
- Proficiency in keyword research tools (SEM Rush, Ahrefs, etc.) and analytics platforms (GA4, HubSpot)
- Strong technical knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO factors
- Proven expertise with generative AI tools for content creation and optimization
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills to enhance AI-generated content to enterprise standards
- Proven project management skills with ability to manage complex content initiatives
- Experience with content performance analysis and ROI measurement
- Ability to translate technical SEO concepts into actionable content strategies
