Superlanet is seeking a Data Architect with strong experience in Snowflake to support our healthcare client in Texas. This is a remote, contract opportunity with the potential to convert if desired. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and hands-on expertise in cloud data architecture, modeling, and pipeline development, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures within the Snowflake cloud environment to support enterprise analytics and reporting needs.
Develop logical and physical data models, ensuring alignment with integration, transformation, and storage requirements.
Build and manage efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to enable seamless data flow from multiple source systems into the Snowflake data platform.
Implement robust security controls, including encryption, access management, and compliance protocols to safeguard sensitive healthcare data.
Continuously monitor and optimize performance, including query tuning, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, design patterns, pipelines, and governance best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures, with a strong focus on Snowflake as the enterprise data warehouse (EDW).
Ideally, hands-on experience with DBT Cloud for ELT development, data lineage, and governance, and Fivetran for automated data integration.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

In lieu of a degree, equivalent professional experience in data architecture or engineering roles will be considered.
At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipeline development in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in healthcare or other regulated industries.
