Job Description Summary: The Platform manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and continuous improvement of technology platforms within Enterprise Applications that supports multiple SAP products within the product line. This role ensures the platform’s scalability and alignment with business and technical needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Define and implement the strategic vision and technology choices for the platform, aligning with the product line’s goals

  • Define, implement and follow the technical roadmap of the platform,  obsolescence management  plans and implementation of any changes/updates to meet current and future business requirements

  • Responsible for the application of a global technology set in terms of best practices, architectures, tools, processes, documentation, to be applied across the platform and in accordance to the guidelines and organizational policies of Air Liquide

  • Ensure the quality of the software produced by the team 

  • Participate in the strategic capacity planning and resource management of the team, in collaboration with Product Line Directors and Product Managers to support requests of resources for the product teams

  • Assist with the planning of the high-level release schedule across teams & secure effective interdependency management

  • Collect & consolidate relevant KPIs/insights to report on value delivered at product line level

  • Assist with the oversight of SAP related roll-out activities in close collaboration with GDS/DDS teams

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science and/or Business Administration or Equivalent

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience implementing SAP products, including experience with S/4 HANA 

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in configuring SAP within a specific domain

  • 5 years of business and functional requirements analysis experience

  • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging complex integrated applications.

  • At least 5 SAP full life cycle implementation projects serving in a hands-on and lead capacity

  • Extensive experience with medium to large SAP initiatives

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience using verbal and written communication skills effectively, including the ability to work across teams, and the ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders while implementing SAP, as well as other complex projects

  • Deep strategic planning capabilities combined with a strategic thinking & value-driven mindset (roadmap creation, product vision articulation, value monitoring…)

  • Experience in people management, preferably within a multiple-teams structure as well as Functional and/or Technical Lead experience

  • Strong communication & stakeholders management skills

  • Strong Business Process Knowledge

  • Good industry knowledge and insights into key challenges for the domain/family

  • Experience in Product Management

  • Experience in managing roll-out plan of IT projects/programs/products

  • Ability to work with large, distributed teams onshore and offshore with diverse competencies, skills, and abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-pressure culture
