About the Role
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for performing financial and business-related research and analysis, including the preparation of forecasts and financial reports. This role will require strong analytical skills and expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage corporate KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc analysis. Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, this position involves working closely with high-level executives and organizational leaders.
Work hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, flexible

What you’ll do
First 30 Days:
Conduct financial and business-related analyses, including the preparation of forecasts and trend analysis.
Provide explanations for variances and make recommendations related to accounting, reserves, assets, and expenditures.
Independently pursue problem-solving and document recommendations to management.
Lead and document financial analysis projects, including gathering data, performing analysis, and generating reports.
First 90 Days:
Shadow the 2025 budget process, working closely with senior leadership to understand current processes and models.
Drive monthly and quarterly internal management reporting and distribution to the CEO and Budget Stewards.
Organize and coordinate quarterly P&L re-forecasting based on feedback from business partners.
Create and develop headcount reporting and manage quarterly sales commission calculations.
First Year:
Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal-setting for the business in collaboration with senior management.
Improve budgeting, planning, forecasting, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
Assess and recommend improvements in the mix of people, processes, and technology to enhance financial reporting.
Develop key performance indicators to measure the financial health of the organization or assigned units.
Present financial results and trends to all levels of management.
Develop business policies, conduct financial studies, and cooperate with other departments on analyses.
Create and document policies and procedures for sustained performance improvement.
Transform data into Tableau dashboards or other visualizations.
