Senior Python Developer

This is a remote position.

• Design, develop, and maintain FastAPI-based microservices with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
  
• Architect and optimise backend solutions with MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and efficient querying.
  
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure Cloud, leveraging best practices in cloud architecture.
  
• Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation for smooth deployments.
  
• Proactively identify and tackle technical debt while balancing immediate priorities.
  
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities, making informed decisions with minimal supervision.
  
• Maintain excellent documentation, ensuring knowledge-sharing across the team.
  
• Take ownership of features and drive initiatives independently, demonstrating accountability and commitment.
  
• Communicate proactively and effectively, keeping stakeholders informed on progress, challenges, and solutions.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and FastAPI (or similar frameworks).
  
• Strong experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database design principles.
  
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API best practices.
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services (e.g., Azure Functions, Storage, App Services, etc.
  
• DevOps mindset – experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a startup environment.
  
• Comfortable with quick context switching and working on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability – able to work with minimal supervision.
  
• ​Excellent communication skills – proactive, clear, and concise.
  

While this is a work-from-home position, it is important to note that this is a full-time role—not a freelance or flexible-hour arrangement. You will be expected to work a fixed shift and maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability, just as you would in an office environment.

⏱ Payroll is processed bi-monthly.
