Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible during client business hours,  40 hours per week.
Client Timezone: Grand Rapids, Michigan (EST)
Role Overview
As our Paid Media Manager, you’ll be the brains and execution behind all of our Meta Ads campaigns. Your mission is to grow our newsletter subscriber base and drive conversions with highly targeted, creative, and optimized ad campaigns across multiple local markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end ownership of Meta Ads campaigns across multiple local markets (newsletter growth, merchandise drops, memberships, etc.)

  • Launch new publications and campaigns as directed by my management: Follow a proven process to optimize and launch new campaigns.
  • Media buying: Plan, launch, and manage ad sets and campaigns with precision targeting and creative testing.

  • Performance optimization: Monitor ROAS, CAC, CTR, CPMs, and conversion metrics daily—optimize in real time.

  • Creative strategy: Collaborate on or develop ad creatives (copy + visuals) that convert; work with our team or freelancers to execute.

  • Budget ownership: Allocate and manage monthly and weekly ad budgets across geos and campaigns.

  • A/B testing: Run ongoing experiments across audiences, placements, and creatives to find scalable winners.

  • Reporting & insights: Deliver weekly performance reports with clear insights and next steps.

  • Stay on top of Meta platform updates, best practices, and performance trends in paid social.



Requirements
  • 2+ years experience running direct-response Meta Ads campaigns with proven results (preferably across multiple locations or local brands)
  • Deep knowledge of Meta Business Suite & Ads Manager
  • Experience with performance marketing a major plus
  • Comfortable managing $100k+ monthly budgets across campaigns
  • Creative thinker who can write and/or evaluate ad copy, hooks, and scroll-stopping visuals
  • Strong analytical skills—Excel/Google Sheets mastery a plus
  • Self-starter: you can set strategy and execute it with minimal oversight
  • Bonus: Familiar with tools like Beehiiv, Canva, Coda, AirTable, etc.
