We’re looking for a Technical Business Development Manager with a strong blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to drive Vellex’s growth in the energy and grid technology space. The ideal candidate holds an MBA and has a technical background in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships. You should have a proven track record of mapping customer ecosystems, executing targeted outreach (cold emails, LinkedIn, etc.), and closing deals—experience with HubSpot or CRM tools is a plus. Since we’re a fast-moving startup, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment, wearing multiple hats to identify high-value prospects, build relationships with utilities, developers, and ISOs, and accelerate our sales pipeline.   • Own the full sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure, negotiating contracts and forming partnerships that contribute to company revenue and growth.
  • Apply technical expertise to effectively communicate Vellex's AI solutions, translating product capabilities into customer value propositions.
  • Continuously analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and inform product and sales strategy.

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business or engineering
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years in business development/sales
  • Proven success in prospecting, outreach, and closing deals
