Salary: £32,665 per annum once qualified plus Veolia benefits (until qualified you will be entitled to £28,604)

Hours:  40 hours per week - Day shift Monday to Thursday 0730 to 1630 - Friday 0730 to 1400. Weekend working & standby cover on a roster basis.  

Location: Buckie Wastewater Treatment Works, AB56 4BS

As a Day Operator, you will be responsible for the operational control of the Process Units within the Moray contract. The Day Operator will conduct a range of assigned activities including testing, routine checks, maintenance and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards.

Full comprehensive training will be provided for the successful candidate. The only requirements are a valid driving license and an enthusiastic attitude towards learning. We're looking for someone who is eager to develop their skills and grow with our company - previous experience is not necessary.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carry out and report on a range of activities within established procedures monitor, test and analyse service performance and compliance with regulatory and business standards.

  • Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained and replaced appropriately to meet business standards.

  • Carry out a range of routine activities to time and quality standards to ensure the smooth running of the overall process on a day to day basis. 

  • To draw samples and test as required ensuring the optimal running of all plant and equipment.

  • Record and document all process information and analysis results.

  • Safely and effectively monitor the operation of the process and conditions of the plant, making adjustments of controls.


 

What we're looking for:

  • Full driving licence (Required)

  • Demonstrates the ability to monitor and assess asset performance

  • Proficient in the operation of the treatment process / network process

  • Understanding of the Sludge process and all associated treatment equipment

  • Develops and utilises technical knowledge to demonstrate good operational practices and assists with efficient running of the process, maintenance & operational system

  • Forklift licence
