ABOUT THE ROLE
Role SUMMARY
Sortly is on a mission to empower businesses with intuitive and innovative tools to seamlessly manage and optimize their inventory, assets, and consumables. As we continue our rapid growth and focus on delivering 0-to-1 product features that solve complex customer problems, we are hiring a versatile Senior Product Manager to help lead our efforts in shaping the future of our product.
This role is critical to Sortly’s success because we’re looking for someone who can bring strong product leadership, deep customer empathy, and a data-driven approach to execution. You will play a key role in driving the development of new features, optimizing current ones, and identifying new opportunities that align with our strategy. The role reports to the Director of Product Management with strong collaboration across executive and leadership team members.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Proven track record of driving 0-to-1 product launches and delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experienced with the entire product management lifecycle (discovery, design, implementation, GTM) and the JTBD framework for B2B customers.
- Influence Without Authority / Collaboration With Key Stakeholders:
- Skilled at aligning cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and driving collaboration across departments.
- Liaise with the design team to ensure user-friendly interfaces and consistent user experiences across all platforms.
- Collaborate with product marketing to develop core messaging and positioning for new features, especially for our ICPs.
- Ensure alignment on unique selling propositions and effectively communicate these to sales teams.
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and demo solutions that address their needs.
- Gather feedback from sales teams and customers to continuously improve product offerings.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.
- Product Roadmap:
- Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives.
- Strong Customer Discovery Skills:
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, pain points, and use cases to inform product development.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and other discovery activities to gather insights.
- Synthesize research findings into actionable product requirements and roadmaps.
- Data-Driven Storytelling:
- Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions and measure the impact of new features and integrations.
- Create compelling narratives around product vision, strategy, and performance to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and product success metrics.
- Customer Obsessed:
- Ability to deeply understand and empathize with Sortly’s deep customer base across industries such as construction, HVAC, manufacturing, medical, and services.
- Drive customer-centric solutions by prioritizing features that deliver the most value to our users.
- Act as a voice of the customer, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Focus on driving the adoption of new and existing features through effective communication and support.
- Versatility:
- Comfortable switching between strategy and execution, long-term planning and short-term problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product management experience (preferable in B2B SaaS) with a proven track record of launching 0-to-1 features.
- Prior experience as a software engineer with hands-on coding knowledge and understanding of APIs and integrations.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, including working closely with engineering teams to assess feasibility and scope.
- Strong collaboration skills working with tech and non-tech internal and external audiences.
- Extensive experience conducting user interviews, synthesizing feedback, and translating insights into actionable product decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficient in using tools like Amplitude, Looker, or Google Analytics to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and results to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like, agile environment.
- A self-starter with a bias for action and a relentless drive to make an impact.
Good to have
- MBA or similar education is a plus but not required.
- Background in inventory management, asset tracking, or related domains are a plus.
- US B1/B2 Visa for the ability to travel regularly (e.g. quarterly) to the US.
