Role Scope: 

We are looking for an execution-oriented strategist to join our collaborative, entrepreneurial team to work on expansion strategy and execution, specifically:  

  • Shape Habitat’s expansion strategy through research into state-by-state PACE regulatory landscapes, including monitoring for PACE RFPs, creating state prioritization analysis, and support of PACE advocacy efforts  
  • Prepare and submit Habitat’s federal and state applications as part of existing and new state expansion, including project management to ensure cross-functional collaboration on application process, and narrative writing for application responses  
  • Complete PACE program licensing and renewal processes, including researching licensing requirements for new states 
  • Identify and engage local community stakeholders to educate about PACE and seek support for PACE expansion and Habitat market entry 
  • Build strong relationships with key regulatory stakeholders to educate about PACE, advocate for PACE expansion, and build support for Habitat   
  • Bring a flexible, “roll up your sleeves” mindset and an ability to execute independently and structure ambiguity 

Qualifications:  

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Medicare and Medicaid regulatory environment, preference for PACE-specific application and licensing experience   
  • 2-4+ years of experience in management consulting or operations / policy role at a high-growth startup, ideally in the context of health care delivery  
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter 
  • Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills 
  • Detail oriented, and skilled in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports 
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, unstructured work environment with a high degree of self-autonomy and a bias to action 
  • A strong passion for our mission, with a high degree of empathy for the populations we serve 
  • A bachelor's degree is required 

 

Compensation:  

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance, short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) savings, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is $128,000 - $159,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
