Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer
Location:
Remote (PST Time Zone)
Salary Range:
up to 6000 USD

Work Schedule:
Flexible 40-hour workweek with at least a 4-hour overlap during core hours (9 AM5 PM PST) on weekdays.

Position Overview:

Were seeking a skilled Senior Automation Engineer who excels at the intersection of systems thinking, low-code technology, and delivering client impact. You'll work closely with Business Systems Architects and Digital Operations Coordinators to implement robust automation solutions using tools like Zapier, Make, N8N, and Airtable while also bringing your coding, API, and data integration skills to the table. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the implementation from discovery to delivery, leading with technical excellence and client empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with system architects to translate business requirements into scalable, automated workflows.
  • Lead implementation of no-code/low-code automation tools (Zapier, Make, Airtable, etc.).
  • Integrate external APIs and manage backend data flows.
  • Own testing, quality assurance, and documentation to ensure reliability and adoption.
  • Train clients and internal users through recorded walkthroughs, documentation, and live sessions.
  • Lead technical validation, build proof-of-concepts, and support tool selection.
  • Participate in client discovery, solution demos, and technical reviews.
  • Mentor junior teammates and uphold technical best practices.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience building automation solutions, with deep knowledge of no-code/low-code platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS tools (Office365, Google Workspace, Airtable).
  • Solid programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience integrating APIs and designing efficient data schemas.
  • Strong SQL/database skills (PostgreSQL, Supabase, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud security and compliance standards.
  • Excellent documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Comfortable owning client engagements and presenting technical concepts to mixed audiences.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working in or with agencies or multiple client accounts.
  • Advanced client-facing capabilities, including expectation-setting and non-technical stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with LLMs and AI tools beyond basic prompt engineering.
  • Knowledge of cloud automation tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Skills in BI/data visualization tools to track and present ROI.
  • Project management capabilities for end-to-end delivery of automation projects.
  • Industry-specific experience in high-impact automation verticals.
  • Familiarity with advanced automation and RPA platforms.
