Salesforce B2B commerce cloud Architect

Primary Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 4+ years in B2B sales or commerce systems.
  • Strong experience with B2B platforms like Salesforce B2B Commerce, SAP Hybris, Adobe Commerce (Magento), Oracle CX, etc.
  • Proficiency in modern web technologies and frameworks (e.g., REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native architecture).
  • Deep understanding of B2B-specific needs such as bulk ordering, tiered pricing, contract-based sales, and custom quoting.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics 365), ERP, and CPQ systems.
  • Experience with integration patterns, middleware, and enterprise service bus (ESB) tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and solution presentation skills.
  • Proven track record in leading architecture on large-scale B2B implementations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the architecture of B2B commerce platforms, sales enablement tools, and related integrations.
  • Design end-to-end solutions for digital sales processes including product catalogs, pricing engines, CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote), order management, and CRM integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical architecture with business objectives.
  • Drive decisions on technology stack, platform scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party tools, APIs, and platforms such as Salesforce, SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Oracle CX, or similar.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security standards, and enterprise IT governance.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, solution blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and implementation teams.
  • Facilitate architectural reviews, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Stay informed of emerging B2B commerce technologies and trends, and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Nice to Have:
  • Certifications in Salesforce, AWS, Azure, or other major platforms.
  • Experience with MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) architecture.
  • Exposure to agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and DevOps practices.
