Our client is a leading financial services company in the United States, specializing in providing comprehensive accounting and data-driven solutions to streamline business processes. Their innovative approach to automating financial transactions enables greater accuracy, efficiency, and compliance for their partners.
We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our team and will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL, pipelines, databases, and related applications within the accounting domain. This role will collaborate cross- functionally with stakeholders, and team members to analyze requirements, suggest process methodologies, and deliver scalable and high-performing data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration workflows across multiple platforms, including Snowflake
Implement data models and schemas to support business requirements and ensure data consistency and integrity
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction, transformation, loading, and reporting
Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and provide data engineering support for analytics initiatives
Ensure data quality and implement data validation and cleansing techniques
Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance for efficient data processing and retrieval
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and availability
Implement and maintain data security and access controls
Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes
Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and process documentation
Ability to develop accounting requirements for upstream data.
3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analytics, and/or business intelligence.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with the ability to handle large volumes of transactional data (Python experience is a plus).
Strong customer facing presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills is
required

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Snowflake development tools and architecture is a plus
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling is a plus
