About the Role

As the Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing comprehensive GRC strategies that enable our clients to adopt AI technologies with confidence. You will lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI implementation while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of both governance principles and emerging AI technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive GRC framework specifically tailored for AI systems and applications
  • Lead the design and execution of risk assessment methodologies to identify, analyze, and prioritize risks associated with AI deployment
  • Establish policies, procedures, and controls that ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies
  • Monitor regulatory developments related to AI governance and ensure our platform and client implementations remain compliant
  • Partner with product, engineering, and customer success teams to integrate GRC principles into our platform and service offerings
  • Build and lead a team of GRC professionals who will support our clients throughout their AI adoption journey
  • Create educational materials and training programs on AI governance best practices for both internal teams and clients
  • Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track GRC program effectiveness and provide insights to leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and key stakeholders on AI governance matters
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI governance standards, frameworks, and regulatory developments

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated experience implementing GRC programs in technology-focused organizations
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their associated risks and governance challenges
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework, AI Act (EU), and industry-specific requirements
  • Experience with GRC tools and technologies for risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex GRC concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strategic thinking ability with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful GRC initiatives
  • Team leadership experience with a focus on building and developing high-performing teams
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or similar certifications are a plus

Salary Range: $170,000-$230,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
