Job description

Crimson Global Academy (CGA) is a world-class online school delivering live, real-time learning to ambitious students around the world. With over 1000 students joining us from 65 countries, our vision is to unlock our students' limitless potential, together, for extraordinary futures.

We are doing this by:

  • Igniting a passion for learning that accelerates academic performance and success regardless of age.

  • Fostering a global community that broadens students' perspectives and develops their skills to make a difference on the world stage.

  • Providing cutting-edge technology for teachers to launch students into their future while giving parents transparency into their child’s education.

As a University Admissions Counselor at Crimson Global Academy, your key function will be to provide exceptional, comprehensive university admissions support to our students. This role will see working directly with a substantial number of CGA students to help them discover university pathways, explore possible career fields and majors, construct academic plans, and strategize for university admissions success. Your responsibilities will be overseeing the entire student university admissions journey from end to end, with the goal of providing expert advice and guidance while ensuring that students achieve strong results to their best fit universities.

Your role will require a deep dive into all areas of the academic operations of the school to understand how to best support students in their academic journeys here at CGA. In addition to supporting students, this role will also involve interactions with parents in order to answer questions regarding academic plans, and gain alignment for university admissions success.

In addition, this role will oversee CGA’s full suite of extracurricular activities, clubs, and competitions. Your role will involve liaising with our faculty and student club leaders, providing ongoing guidance, and shaping the extracurricular offerings at CGA.

This remote work, part-time role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week. Working hours are flexible, but should be adapted to meeting a large base of students based in East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

    • Proactive Student Interaction: Develop strong relationships with students and parents from the moment that they enroll at CGA through proactive communication. This involves reaching out to students and scheduling meetings at set frequencies in order to keep them on track in their university application journey.
    • Content Development: Working with team members to build out a robust set of asynchronous admissions content to guide students in their application journeys and ensure they are well supported by the CGA network.
    • Administrative Excellence: Manage student materials and documents with attention and care. This role will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and submission of student documents such as past and current transcripts, recommendation/reference letters, and other materials related to university admissions.
    • Extracurricular Development: Work with team members to develop and maintain CGA’s extracurricular support network. This includes liaising with students and teachers to ensure that CGA’s network of clubs and social opportunities provides an unparalleled value add for students and elevates their experience. Promote student participation and ensure activities align with the school’s mission and values.
    • Continuous Improvement: Take an active role in improving all aspects of the CGA student experience, from admissions, to onboarding, to student life, and alumni networking. Liaise closely with our admissions and academic teams in order to give and receive feedback on our student support systems.

What skills and experience are required?

    • A strong understanding and willingness to master CGA’s academic offerings, structured around our two academic pathways: the British A Levels and US Diploma program.
    • An advanced awareness of application pathways to universities around the world, with a particular focus on the US and UK, in order to craft curricula and strategies that will maximize admissions rates at these universities.
    • High-quality project management and product development skills to balance creating key short-term content with long-term strategic objectives.
    • Cultural familiarity and fluency for cultures around the world, with the interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, students, and families from many different backgrounds.
    • Meticulous attention to detail when managing student documentation and supporting materials.

If you're passionate about education and people and looking for a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and want to work with cutting-edge technology then we'd love to hear from you!
