HubSpot Engineer

The HubSpot Engineer at Sum Digital is responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining HubSpot across multiple clients. You will play a key role in CRM migrations, marketing automation, technical integrations, and data-driven optimizations to ensure seamless marketing, sales, and service operations.

Reporting directly to the Hubspot Lead, you will work closely with growth marketeer and growth engineers to implement scalable HubSpot solutions that drive measurable business growth. Your role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to ensure that clients fully leverage HubSpots capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

HubSpot Implementation & Optimization

• Configure and optimize HubSpot portals across multiple hubs (Marketing, Sales, Service, Operations, and CMS).
• Set up user roles, permissions, and CRM pipelines tailored to client needs.
• Develop and implement lead scoring models, segmentation strategies, and advanced workflow automation.
• Ensure data integrity and governance by maintaining clean and structured CRM setups.

Marketing Automation & CRM Management

• Design and implement automated workflows to improve lead nurturing, customer engagement, and sales enablement.
• Optimize email deliverability, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
• Create multi-object reports and dashboards to track marketing and sales performance.

Technical Integrations & API Management

• Integrate HubSpot with third-party platforms such as Salesforce, WordPress, and other marketing/sales tools.
• Use Zapier, native HubSpot integrations, or API development to connect and automate business processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring seamless data flow between platforms.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights on marketing and sales performance.
• Leverage attribution modeling to track ROI and optimize conversion funnels.
• Monitor CRM health, flagging inconsistencies and implementing data cleansing processes.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with Growth Marketers, Sales teams, and Customer Success teams to align HubSpot capabilities with business goals.
• Train and support internal teams and clients on best practices for HubSpot usage.
• Stay up to date with HubSpot updates and industry trends to continuously improve implementations.

Qualifications & Skills (for recruitment)

• 2+ years of experience working with HubSpot (or similar CRM/Marketing Automation platforms).
• Strong understanding of HubSpots Hubs, including CRM setup, automation, reporting, and integrations.
• Experience with marketing automation, email marketing, lead scoring, and sales enablement strategies.
• Technical proficiency in API integrations, Zapier, and CRM migrations.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and optimize marketing and sales processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
