Job Description Summary:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions. Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies to meet business requirements. Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and documentation for cloud environments. Automate routine tasks and deployment pipelines supporting Site Reliability Engineering practices. Perform operational engineering for activities which include platform upgrades/deployments, patching, monitoring, configuration, recoverability and system troubleshooting. Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of cloud infrastructure. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery processes. Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development environments. Implement best practices for cloud security and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environments. Develop and enforce policies for access control, data protection, and disaster recovery. Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security issues. Optimize cloud resource utilization to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and workflows. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers. Lead and participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions. 100% telecommuting role. Reports to company headquarters in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Can work remotely or telecommute.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience, the employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Docker/Containers, AWS Lambda supporting serverless applications, and Azure Kubernetes Services/AKS; Cloud operations support including systems design and implementation with a strong focus cloud cost management; Python/PowerShell/Typescript, Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible, and other automation tools supporting platforms for AWS and Azure; Architected framework, with strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices; CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins or Gitlab); Supporting data lake systems (Snowflake or Databricks); and Infrastructure as Code with design on high availability and disaster recovery.

Salary offered for the position is: $177,736.00 - $182,736.00/year.
