Job description

Information Technology – Remote (U.S. Based)

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a highly experienced software professional to serve as the Lead Digital Architect, overseeing the end-to-end technical architecture of CBN’s digital platforms. The role ensures a scalable, reusable, and high-performance system across multiple websites, mobile apps, and smart TV applications. Responsibilities include specifying technical architectural design patterns and integrating via Azure with core systems, such as CRM and the multi-channel marketing hub. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in software development practices, API technologies, data integration, cloud-native practices, and working knowledge of content management systems and mobile application development. The object is to oversee a unified, efficient, and future-proof technology stack.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

Architectural Design: 7+ years demonstrated experience in designing scalable, reusable, and high-performance architectures.
Software Development Practices: In-depth understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
Cloud Technologies: Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and cloud-native practices. Proficiency in designing and managing APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL.
Internet Technologies: Familiarity with internet systems and CMS platforms like Drupal and WordPress.
Data Integration: Expertise in data integration techniques and tools.
Mobile and Smart TV Development: Knowledge of native mobile app development (iOS and Android) and smart TV application development.
Security and Compliance: Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
Technical Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
