Job description

Engagement Manager
As an Engagement Manager at Accelerated Focus, your primary role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our clients and our product delivery teams. Your expertise in Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, combined with your in-depth knowledge of business analysis, is essential to our success. You are tasked with ensuring that our products are delivered with maximum value, aligning precisely with our client’s business goals and technology strategies. Additionally, as a part of your responsibilities, you will engage in minor but strategic business development activities.
Accountable For
 Scrum Facilitation: Proactively lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release sessions, to ensure a smooth and efficient Agile workflow.
 Requirements Translation and Management: Skillfully convert business needs into detailed epics and user stories. Manage and refine the product backlog, strategically prioritizing features to align with both business objectives and user requirements.
 Client Relationship Excellence: Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through consistent engagement and understanding of their business goals, thereby contributing to their success.
 Collaborative Backlog Prioritization: Work closely with the product owner to meticulously manage the product backlog. This involves collaborative prioritization, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and user value.
 Product Demonstration and Testing Support: Actively participate in product demonstrations and provide comprehensive support in solution testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
 Quality Assurance in Product Delivery: Take responsibility for the superior quality of product delivery, ensuring that every solution provided to our customers meets the highest standards of excellence and reliability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies with an emphasis on Scrum.
Skilled in facilitating Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. Strong skills in translating complex business requirements into clear and actionable epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Ability to create detailed functional specifications and business cases.
Proven ability in managing and building strong client relationships.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of understanding and aligning with client needs.
Skill in conflict resolution and facilitating team dynamics.
Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
Familiarity with the OutSystems platform and low-code development environments. Proficiency in using project management tools like Jira or DevOps Boards.

Manage personnel assigned to projects
Responsible for product budget and ensuring delivery on time, in scope and in alignment with budget
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of demonstrated software application delivery experience in the role of a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and/or Business Analyst.
Project Management or Agile certifications such as PMP, CSPO, PSPO, CSM or PSM (preferred).
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; you’ll be working directly with business stakeholders at all levels, so communication and professionalism are key.
Strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and Agile planning techniques. OutSystems Delivery Specialist Certification is considered an asset.
Travel
   0-5% to visit client sites, attend conferences on behalf of Accelerated Focus, and meet with distributed team members.
