Job description

An international iGaming company with a global presence is looking for a Senior Azure Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing the company’s Azure cloud infrastructure. We're looking for someone with a solid background in cloud technologies and Kubernetes to deliver IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, all while following industry best practices and staying ahead of current trends. You'll collaborate closely with development, security, and IT operations teams to improve cloud solutions, implement best practices, and ensure systems are scalable and resilient.

The role is offered on a fully remote basis, available to candidates in the Philippines or Vietnam, working in the EST (USA) time zone.

Salary of up to $2900/m depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

Manage and provision cloud infrastructure on Azure
Ensure cloud infrastructure and applications are reliable, available, and performant
Automate tasks, monitor systems, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues
Deploy and manage Azure services like VMs, storage, SQL databases, and AKS clusters
Use PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible for automation
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Azure Bicep
Set up and configure monitoring tools for system health
Troubleshoot and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Team City, and Octopus
Monitor and optimize Azure resources for performance and cost efficiency
Mentor junior team members
Troubleshoot and manage AKS clusters
Respond to system alerts and security incidents
Provide Level 2 support in an on-call capacity
Review and improve Azure infrastructure security and design
Work with dev and network teams to improve platform reliability

Education, Skills, and Experience:

Fluency in English (C1+ level)
Required certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, CKA, LPIC-1
Certification in AZ-800 is a plus
5+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure
5+ years with PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS solutions
5+ years with Linux and Windows Server in the cloud and on-prem
3+ years of experience with Azure ARM templates and Bicep
3+ years of experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
1+ year of experience with RabbitMQ and Nginx
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Knowledge of Splunk, Grafana, and Ops-Genie is a plus

About the Role:

Fully remote (Philippines or Vietnam)
Contract-based (1-year renewable)
15 days of paid leave per year
