Job description

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract with our client in Minnetonka, MN. 100% Remote.

Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate: $80-85

Responsibilities:

Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks
Develop technical specifications
Work with other developers to ensure scalability, reliability and performance of Java based applications
Write clean, testable code using Java
Test and debug various applications and APIs
Participate in code reviews to ensure coding best practices
Deploy fully functional applications
Upgrade and maintain existing programs and technologies
Mentor and provider technical leadership to junior developers
Document development and operational procedures including implementing monitoring solutions

Required Qualifications:

Advanced working knowledge and skill of professional field with ability to function as a subject matter expert for other staff across multiple technologies
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, plus 7 years of work experience beyond the degree.
Strong full stack Java skills with experience using Spring framework and has current/previous experience with JSP
Experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture
Familiarity with agile environments
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Work experience with content management and search solutions such as Sitecore, Coveo, Solr, Google
In-depth knowledge of writing complex SQL queries for Oracle or SQL Server
Proficiency in building web-based and/or mobile applications
Experience with containerization using orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Experience in one of the Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) with end-to-end application building, source controlling and deployment
