Your specific duties will include:
Conducting title research to compile search packages of varying complexity, requiring investigation of historical property records, liens, and ownership history.
Performing searches both in-office and remotely at courthouses, municipalities, and government entities as needed.
Reviewing and verifying tax documentation, deeds, mortgages, and legal descriptions.
Preparing detailed title reports and summaries for use in commercial real estate transactions.
Ensuring all title searches comply with legal requirements and industry regulations.
Communicating findings to escrow officers, title officers, and other stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate records and updating title databases.
Assisting with resolving title defects and curative issues when necessary.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in title abstracting or related work in the title insurance industry.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret legal property documents.
Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and title research databases.
Communication: Ability to communicate moderately complex information effectively with internal teams.
Work Environment: Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
Pay Rate Range: $19.58 - $ 20.27 per hour
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
