Job description

We are looking for an Engineering Analyst on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Barcelona, Spain. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism. Please be aware that this is a fully remote position.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). 

The successful candidates will be tasked with, but not limited to: 

Perform simplified neutronic analysis to assess breeder blanket design sensitivity and neutron shielding effectiveness;

Conduct flow distribution analysis in cooling channels and manifolds during normal operation to optimize thermal-hydraulic performance;

Develop segmented FEM models for neutron shield integration, including interfacial forces (EM loads, thermal-mechanical stresses) with the overall system;

Execute electromagnetic (EM) calculations to determine EM forces, moments, and induced stresses on BB supports/structures under normal operational magnetic fields;

Analyze thermo-mechanical behavior using simplified 3D numerical simulations (millions of nodes), focusing on stress from EM loads;

Validate designs against nuclear safety standards;

Prepare technical reports summarizing simulation outcomes (neutronics, thermal, EM) and compliance with RCC-MR/ASME standards.
