Job description

We are looking for an ​Engineering Analyst​ on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in ​Barcelona, Spain​. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism. Please be aware that this is a fully remote position.  

  

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).  

  

The successful candidates will be tasked with, but not limited to:  

  • Perform simplified neutronic analysis to assess breeder blanket design sensitivity and neutron shielding effectiveness; 

  • Conduct flow distribution analysis in cooling channels and manifolds during normal operation to optimize thermal-hydraulic performance;  

  • Develop segmented FEM models for neutron shield integration, including interfacial forces (EM loads, thermal-mechanical stresses) with the overall system;  

  • Execute electromagnetic (EM) calculations to determine EM forces, moments, and induced stresses on BB supports/structures under normal operational magnetic fields;  

  • Analyze thermo-mechanical behavior using simplified 3D numerical simulations (millions of nodes), focusing on stress from EM loads;  

  • Validate designs against nuclear safety standards;  

  • Prepare technical reports summarizing simulation outcomes (neutronics, thermal, EM) and compliance with RCC-MR/ASME standards.
