Launch your career in crypto with Anchorage Labs! Join our dynamic internship program and dive into the heart of the digital asset banking revolution.

You will work with a specific engineering team, designing and developing code to specs and progressing that code through the software development life-cycle into production. You will be responsible for multiple team projects through the 9-month program that’s been planned around your skill set. This program will begin September 2025. You will be directly integrated into the team, attending large scale software life-cycle ceremonies and participating in requirements, design, maintenance and support discussions outside of your projects. You will also have a mentor assigned who can guide you as you learn about the industry and answer any immediate questions.

The goals of this program are:
Learn - spend time learning with engineering experts solving real-world problems in a large-scale software environment
Innovate - explore your own designs and solutions to problems in a rapidly changing industry
Experience - participate in a rapidly changing environment solving industry-leading problems
Grow - expand your skill set to better prepare you for your future career after graduation, whether or not that’s at Anchorage Digital

Technical Skills:
  • Proactively demonstrates curiosity in learning about Anchorage’s technologies from managers, mentors, technical leads, and/or peers (e.g. peer reviews, code quality).
  • Writes, reviews, tests, and documents code according to Anchorage engineering and team standards and practices.

  • You may be a fit for this role if:
  • You are pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science (or similar degree) and will be graduating December 2024/Summer 2025.
  • You have experience building distributed systems.  We mostly use Go, however languages can be learned. We really care about your engineering skills more than any specific language or framework.
  • You enjoy building services from scratch and supporting them over time. 
  • You have a deep appreciation for code quality and test infrastructure. 
  • You prioritize end-user experience and business value over “cool tech.”
  • You have baseline “computer science fundamentals”, i.e. concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
  • You’re comfortable navigating environments that are constantly changing, such as a high growth startup.
  • You self describe as some combination of the following: creative, humble, ambitious, detail-oriented, hardworking, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action-oriented, and tenacious.

  • Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
  • You have experience with Blockchain technology and digital assets
  • You are the student your classmates go to when they don’t understand why their code doesn’t work
  • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system!
