Shelter Solutions is recruiting for the role of National Sales Manager, Retail Home Improvement to join its leadership team and shape the future of this iconic business.  This role will balance results delivery with a strong focus on team building, while demonstrating hands-on leadership and adherence to core values.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is responsible for achieving year over year growth for the America's Spray Polyurethane (SPU) value center, which relates to Home Improvement. This includes:

  • Leading the development and execution of sales strategies focused on the Retail market such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s Menards, and Ace Hardware. for SPU product line.
  • Driving growth for Tyvek® and XPS in the Retail channel, following the Building Envelope strategy.
  • Establishing clear sales goals and metrics, aligning them with overall company objectives. Continuously monitor performance and implement enhancements as necessary.
  • Leveraging CRM systems and tools to monitor sales performance, optimize customer relationships, and drive sales growth.
  • Ensuring strong relationship management with customers at multiple levels in the organization. Develop and manage senior level connections with key customers.
  • Driving robust key account plans and execution.
  • Leading targeted Commercial Excellence improvements. 
  • Communicating effectively with senior management regarding sales trends, forecasts, and team performance; provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Fostering an inclusive team culture that emphasizes safety, core values, and employee engagement.
  • Coaching and mentoring sales team to develop their skills and enhance performance.

Business Leadership:

  • Leads the Home Improvement sales team, works cross-functionally to ensure alignment.
  • Collaborates on optimizing Tyvek® and XPS results in line with the Shelter strategy.
  • Utilizes product management, pricing, and finance to enhance sales results.
  • Provides clear direction for sales to meet goals.
  • Manages the demand step in the integrated business process, engages in the cross functional alignment of supply, demand, and product plans.
  • Drives valuable commercial insights regarding future growth, drives current product launches and manages existing business.
  • Develops a high-performing, diverse team to achieve business objectives.
  • Offers daily leadership and sets high standards for results and behavior.
  • Allocates resources based on key priorities.
  • Focuses on talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Emphasizes safety, core values, and employee engagement within the team.
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience managing sales teams.   This position will have 4 direct reports and 3 indirect reports.
  • Deep understanding of the Building & Construction retail or the business-to-consumer market is required
  • Strong leadership skills – self driven, hands-on, ability to function as a player coach, and ability to drive results with empathy
  • Solid execution track record – ability to make decisions and deliver consistent results
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Experience leading change and developing talent
  • Experience with CRM
  • Strong financial acumen 
  • Strong executive communication 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
  • Sharp communication skills
     

Role Location: Wilmington DE,  Midland, MI, are preferred but will also consider Remote
