Position Summary
The Director of Marketing is responsible for supporting the commercialization of imetelstat through the creation and refinement of marketing strategy, programs, and materials to ensure a high level of patient awareness and education.
This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ. The Director, Marketing will report the Executive Director, Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and execute integrated post-launch plan of patient materials and patient support program with the Market Access team, including the development of tactics (e.g., patient brochure, hub strategy/materials, and advocacy awareness, as appropriate)
- Develop and create Oncology Clinical Educator (OCE) materials, appropriate patient management strategy through various marketing channels, including personal/non-personal promotion and patient campaign/messaging
- Drive the flawless execution of marketing tactics and programs
- Lead overall congress planning with cross-collaboration (e.g., booth, convention activity, KOL engagement)
- Develop and align the right consumer and patient channel strategies and objectives
- Responsible for management of promotional budget
- Lead cross-functional launch planning meetings with core and extended team members
- Interact with patient advocates and healthcare professional (HCP) experts to acquire insights and feedback on educational content through appropriate channels (e.g., ad boards, 1:1, patient support team, etc.)
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements
- Champion compliant collaboration across departments and field-based teams to develop integrated strategies and solutions for patients and providers aligned to brand strategy

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or life sciences required; Advanced degree preferred
- 9 to 12 years of progressive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology
- industry
- Prior oncology/hematology product launch experience required
- Experience with developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics
- Experience in managing multiple external agencies efficiently and effectively
- Prior patient marketing experience and/or experience with patient support programs a plus

Salary Statement:
Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant’s relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.
General Salary Range: $215,000 to $230,000
