Job Location: Remote (100% remote; travel may be required for incident resolution)

Job Description:

The State of Michigan is seeking a Business Analyst 5 with extensive experience in Infor Lawson Global HR and Payroll systems. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of business process reengineering, system implementations, and the ability to develop functional and technical specifications.

Specialty Areas:

  • CloudSuite & Lawson Expertise – Experience with Infor CloudSuite (GHR & Payroll) and Lawson versions 8, 9, 10, and 11.

  • System Implementation & Upgrades – Extensive experience in multiple Infor Global HR, Benefits, Leave, and Payroll implementations and upgrades.

  • Business Process Reengineering – Ability to analyze and optimize business processes for better system performance and usability.

  • Technical Documentation & Reporting – Preparing functional/technical specifications and assisting in data warehouse reporting.

  • Stakeholder & Risk Management – Communicating project status, mitigating risks, and collaborating with IT and business teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.

  • Write detailed user requirements, program functions, and system modifications.

  • Prepare and document functional and technical specifications.

  • Assist with business intelligence support and enhancements.

  • Work with IT and business teams to ensure smooth implementation of HR and payroll solutions.

  • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation for enterprise reporting.

  • Analyze risk factors and provide solutions to mitigate project challenges.
