They’re expanding their commercial team to meet their robust growth goals and deliver superior service to clients.
Responsibilities
Oversee the commercial team to achieve ambitious targets for cargo volume, revenue, and strategic account acquisition in break bulk (e.g., steel, machinery), multipurpose, and bulk (e.g., grain, salt, aggregates) operations.
Negotiate and close high-value contracts with major U.S. clients, including shippers, freight forwarders, and commodity traders.
Develop sales strategies tailored to the U.S. port terminals market, in collaboration with the CEO, Chief Development Officer and Ports Director.
Ensure client satisfaction for key accounts, maintaining long-term relationships with stakeholders in the break bulk and bulk sectors.
Analyze U.S. market trends to identify new business opportunities, focusing on regional logistics hubs.
Required Experience:
10+ years of experience in commercial management within port terminals, with specific expertise in break bulk, multipurpose, or bulk cargo operations.
Proven success in negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts with U.S.-based clients in the maritime or logistics sector.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring junior staff.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. port regulations, tariffs, and market dynamics.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and data-driven decision-making.
