Job Summary
The Director, Population Health Growth and Retention is responsible for leading the strategic development of the population health growth and retention efforts. The Director will collaborate closely with corporate and market leadership, capture planning and proposal teams, and other cross-functional departments to identify contractual mandates, enable a standardized population health care model, and develop innovative requirements and differentiators.
This role will support key functions for Population Health Strategy including, but not limited to:
- Maintain Pop Health growth and retention roadmap and drive regular review with all Pop Health stakeholders identifying key decisions necessary for strong business growth
- Conduct thorough competitiveness analyses during the Request for Proposal (RFP) and present the findings to key leaders regarding the identified gaps and potential solutions
- Incorporate assessments of enterprise and market clinical operations, interventions, solutions, and value-added services for population health management, while recognizing contractual obligations and market distinctions
- Lead and facilitate interactions with Population Health and market executives to evaluate requirements and create key solutions in preparation for RFP responses, oral preparation, and transition planning for operational leadership
- Effectively communicate with new business stakeholders to encourage effective strategic execution for both new business acquisition and retention programs
- Analyze and support population health program outcomes, reporting results, and assist in creating effective solutions with Program Excellence
Education & Experience
- Required Bachelor’s degree
- Proven 5 to 10 years of experience in population health strategy, managed care, or healthcare consulting, with a focus on growth and retention.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and translating healthcare trends into actionable, strategic outcomes.
- Skilled in Requests for Proposals (RFPs), contract interpretation, project management, and solution development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a polished executive presence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, and comfortable with analytics and reporting platforms.
- Deep understanding of Population Health frameworks, value-based care models, and managed care operations.
- Knowledgeable in clinical product development, patient engagement strategies, digital health, and health equity.
- Collaborative to influence across teams and effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Committed to equity-focused, person-centered healthcare and continuous improvement.
