National Program Director-Medical Science Liaisons

Amplity has an exciting opportunity for a National Program Director leading a national team of MSLs. Utilize your MSL leadership experience as we grow our team. Job Summary: The National Program Director (NPD) of Field MSLs will oversee and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs This role requires extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in managing MSLs or MSL like roles. The National Program Director will ensure the effective execution of MSL activities, provide leadership and guidance, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. NPD will collaborate closely with the client and internal team ensuring all team deliverables are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of MSLs, ensuring they are effectively executing their responsibilities and meeting performance goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the MSL team to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the outreach efforts of the MSL team, ensuring healthcare professionals are well-informed about the importance of vaccines for preventable diseases.
  • Ensure all markets have effective health system mapping.
  • Support MSLs in engaging in detailed clinical discussions with healthcare professionals, providing scientific insights and answering questions.
  • Ensure the MSL team have deep understanding of healthcare systems and their complexities to effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure all MSL activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and field rides with MSLs, providing feedback and identifying strengths and areas for continued growth.
  • Manage the interviewing and hiring for new MSLs, ensuring the selection of highly qualified candidates in an EEO compliant manner.
  • Ensure all MSLs pass product and compliance training and stay updated with the latest scientific research and developments.

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited institution with a Pharm D, Ph.D. NP or RN with MSN or MPH with MSL/MSL like experience.
  • Tenured highly experienced leader with relevant clinical background and substantial pharmaceutical MSL/MSL like people management experience
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing team of credentialed MSL/MSLs like to achieve both individual and team objectives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing system mapping plans aligned to strategic initiatives.
  • Background of fostering a collaborative and high performing team culture
  • Recognition of vaccines and their importance in prevention of treatable diseases in various therapeutic areas
  • Experience in nephrology and or cardiology, or endocrinology a strong plus
  • Technology proficiency excellent technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure compliance in all activities.
  • Must pass all product and compliance training.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
