ABOUT US
KaiPod Learning is creating a microschool network where students learn at their own pace using a digital curriculum, get in-person academic support from an educator, and socialize with their peers.
We support microschools in two different ways.
- We operate learning pods across the country, where students gather at KaiPod Learning Centers, working on a personalized learning curriculum, and benefiting from the guidance of highly qualified Learning Coaches.
- We partner with entrepreneurial founders to launch and grow microschools in their local communities. Our partners operate unique microschools relying on proven pedagogies (e.g., project-based, Montessori) targeting specific student audiences (e.g., gifted students, neurodiverse students, student-athletes).
Through this work, KaiPod Learning will connect 1 million students around the world through the power of microschooling. The name, KaiPod, comes from the Greek word kairos meaning “the right time to act.” After the pandemic, millions of parents are saying this is the right time for them to act and choose a better learning environment for their child. We are backed by YCombinator, Reach Capital, and several other top venture firms.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The KaiPod Catalyst program empowers individuals to open their own microschools or small educational programs. We provide the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. Participants gain access to curated content, expert guidance, and a vibrant community of like-minded founders. Through a combination of self-paced modules, small group discussions, one-on-one coaching, and practical templates, we help participants navigate every aspect of launching and running a school—from compliance and curriculum to marketing and operations. Our mission is to transform education by equipping passionate individuals to create innovative learning environments tailored to their communities.
This role will step in to manage the Catalyst Program, providing leadership internally as we iterate and refine on the program structure and design, and externally as the lead contact point for the passionate educators we serve.
Specifically, you will:
Program Management
- Manage program timelines and deliverables, ensuring all components are executed on schedule.
- Maintain and improve program content, tools, and resources to meet Founder needs.
- Track and report on program success metrics, making data-driven decisions for improvements.
- Represent KaiPod Learning with a commitment to remaining unbiased, apolitical, and open to varying perspectives.
Community Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program Founders, building trust and strong relationships.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and active community among Founders through engagement activities and discussions.
- Develop and execute strategies to maintain high Founder engagement throughout the program.
- Facilitate small group discussions, webinars, and community events as needed.
- Monitor and moderate community platforms (e.g., Slack, forums) to address questions, provide support, and encourage collaboration.
Founder Support
- Provide personalized support to Founders, helping them navigate challenges and stay on track toward their goals.
- Conduct regular check-ins with Founders to address progress, obstacles, and feedback.
- Offer guidance on program content, resources, and best practices for opening a school.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders that align with the program’s mission.
