Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our client's team on a project-based role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential partners, and driving revenue growth for our online shopping platform. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong sales and marketing acumen to expand our market reach and enhance our platform’s presence within a specified project scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base and partnerships within the project scope.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve project-specific business growth objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies relevant to the project.
  • Negotiate and close business deals to maximize revenue and profitability within the project's duration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, operations) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Generate leads through various channels such as networking, cold calling, social media, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize business development strategies for the project.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts relevant to the project.
  • Assist in defining pricing strategies and promotional offers to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Work closely with the customer service and technical teams to improve the overall user experience of the platform.
  • Develop and maintain sales reports and business development documentation related to the project.
  • Ensure timely project execution and meet defined targets within the project timeline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience  in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the e-commerce or online shopping platform industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth within project constraints.
  • Experience in lead generation and sales pipeline management.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Understanding of e-commerce business models and digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
