Job description

Your Role At A Glance

The Software Engineer II is a pivotal member of the Business Systems team, responsible for designing, developing, administering, and optimizing Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives. This role combines technical development, system administration, and strategic solution engineering to enhance our Salesforce platform's functionality and efficiency.

How You’ll Drive Success
Software Development
  • Design, develop, and test software to resolve defects and implement user stories.
  • Proactively work with the team in writing, correctly sizing, and accurately detailing and breaking down stories and defects.
  • Conduct code and technical reviews, sharing experiences and knowledge with others.
System Maintenance
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement updates to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Proactively coordinate with other engineers to decide how best to implement requested changes.
Continuous Improvement
  • Continuously work to develop a deep expertise in Mastercam’s critical business processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for software development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
The Talents We’re Seeking
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I or II, Salesforce Administrator (preferred but not required).
Required Skills
  • 4+ years of experience developing on the Salesforce platform.
  • Proficiency in declarative development such as fields, objects, flows, and permissions.
  • Experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, and best practices.
  • Experience with standard software development practices such as source control, peer reviews, and unit testing.
  • Experience with agile software development.
  • Experience with Mulesoft and integration techniques.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ (Steelbrick).
Preferred Skills
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide accurate and timely information in a succinct and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Proven time management skills and a track record of working in a team environment successfully supporting others.
  • Well-organized, attention to detail, and able to multi-task.
  • Problem-solving and analysis skills.
