Overview:

Regional Development Director, Indo Pacific region

Remote; must be in Hawaii

Essential Functions:

• Market Analysis: Research and analyze the defense market in the Pacific region to identify potential clients and opportunities.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, military organizations, and private defense contractors. Leverage existing relationships with key military decision-makers to drive business opportunities.
• Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest defense technologies and products to effectively communicate their benefits to clients.
• Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts tailored to client needs.
• Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with local and international regulations, including export controls and trade laws.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as engineering and product development, to align offerings with client requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven background in defense sales, military service, or related fields.
• Existing Relationships: Established connections with military decision-makers in the Pacific region, with the ability to capitalize on these relationships for business development.
• Communication: Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Cultural Awareness: Understanding of the Pacific region's geopolitical landscape and cultural nuances.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with defense systems and technologies.
• Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the Pacific region.
• Security Clearance: Must possess or be eligible to obtain a security clearance, as required for handling sensitive or classified information.
• Residency Requirement: Must reside in Hawaii to facilitate close engagement with clients and regional stakeholders.
