Senior Finance & Operations Manager

Philippines - Remote (Work From home)

About The Role

Franki is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance and Operations Manager to join our team remotely from the Philippines. This role is ideal for a CPA-qualified finance professional with US GAAP experience, looking to take ownership of core financial management, operations, and HR administration functions for a growing tech business, with the benefits of a Work-From-Home role. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role plays a critical part in ensuring financial oversight, process efficiency, and operational rigor.

What you’ll do:

Financial Management

  • Oversee and manage financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and budget preparation.

  • Supervise our outsourced finance team, including bookkeeping, general ledger, and journal entries.

  • Manage US and Australian payroll, taxes, and ensure compliance with local regulations.

  • Liaise directly with investors and potential funding partners on financial matters.

  • Prepare board reports, investor updates, and financial presentations.

  • Oversee tax management in the US and liaise with Australian advisors for compliance.

  • Own cap table management and ESOP grant tracking and equity reporting.

Financial Analysis & Strategic Support

  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

  • Analyze operational (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX), identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and investment needs.

  • Develop and maintain reporting on key financial metrics critical to a high-growth startup, such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), Gross Margin, and other unit economics as relevant.

  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, flagging risks and variances proactively.

  • Support the development of financial models and scenario analysis to inform growth initiatives, fundraising, and board-level reporting.

  • Provide clear, data-driven recommendations that improve profitability, cash flow management, and resource allocation.

HR and People Operations

  • Manage the administration with our HR Partner, Paychex

  • Manage our third-party contractor platform, Deel, for Contractor payroll management.

  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and contractors.

  • Maintain employment contracts, contractor agreements, and HR policies.

  • Support performance review (P&DR) processes in collaboration with the CEO.

Operations Management

  • Oversee vendor and SaaS subscriptions, contract management, and insurance renewals.

  • Support legal compliance and liaise with legal counsel jointly with the CEO.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors like Zeni.ai for day-to-day activities.

  • Direct experience with US GAAP and working with US-based companies.

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Xero.

  • Ability to work across time zones with a minimum 6-hour overlap with Pacific Time.

  • Proactive, independent, analytical, and adaptable to startup environments.
