Overview: Extreme Networks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Services Project/Program Manager to oversee the development and implementation of programs that support our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and improving internal and external programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and success across multiple projects. This role involves working closely with various departments to deliver programs that align with the organization's vision.
Key Responsibilities:
·        Program Management:
·        Organize programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
·        Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
·        Create and manage long-term goals, budgets, and operating plans for programs.
·        Develop evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
·        Write program funding proposals to ensure uninterrupted delivery of services.
·        Project Management:
·        Oversee network IT implementation projects from initial kickoff to completion.
·        Operate as the Single Point of Contact between the customer and project staff.
·        Establish and maintain project communications with customers and superiors throughout the implementation.
·        Coordinate and oversee onsite resources towards delivery to system acceptance.
·        Create and maintain overall project plans, including Wi-Fi implementation and wired/software/backend implementation projects.
·        Oversee project estimations and the development of project deliverables.
·        Establish and maintain processes to manage scope throughout the project lifecycle.
·        Coordinate with construction and cabling subcontractors on deliverables.
·        Manage staging, testing, and quality control throughout the project.
·        Facilitate internal communications between project team members.
·        Set up weekly/bi-weekly project status meetings and supply meeting minutes.
·        Maintain document repository for the project team.
·        Identify, document, and manage project issues.
·        Ensure adherence to project quality and performance standards.
·        Assess and manage risk over the project lifecycle.
·        Control all project-related documents throughout the entire project.
·        Gather and provide final documentation to the customer at project completion.
·        Stakeholder Management:
·        Meet with stakeholders to ensure easy and transparent communication regarding project issues and decisions on services.
·        Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its lifecycle.
·        Analyze program risks and work on strategy with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, services, and operations.
·        Technical Skills:
·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, OneNote, and Teams.
·        Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other applications such as Smartsheet.
·        Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
·        Knowledge of networking principles and technologies.
·        Understanding of cloud computing and related technologies.
·        Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or a related field.
·        +20 years of experience in managing enterprise programs and various rollouts in the technology industry.
·        Experience with global enterprise deployments in the technology field.
·        Understanding of networking principles.
·        Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
·        Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
·        Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
·        +5 years of experience in managing network infrastructure implementation projects of similar size.
