DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing on-site project execution, providing technical expertise, strategic planning, and commercial support to ensure successful project delivery. This role plays a key part in defining and executing project scope while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining high customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the Project Manager ensures quality control and cost management by identifying and implementing effective solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders. A strong focus is placed on building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.
This role will report to Head of Engineering Services.
As the Project Manager, you will:
- Maintain high-level project management expertise to ensure timely project delivery.
- Proactively address outstanding milestones and provide regular progress updates to customers.
- Offer technical and commercial support to customers onsite or remotely to prevent project delays.
- Attend project site meetings, document minutes, and proactively initiate follow-ups to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring the company is not held liable for delays.
- Ensure contractors and suppliers perform site installations in compliance with contract specifications and layout requirements.
- Submit and manage variation orders for additional work beyond the initial scope.
- Oversee and ensure timely project sign-off.
- Participate in Testing & Commissioning (SAT) and facilitate the customer's project handover acceptance.
- Support and oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
- Continuously monitor, anticipate, and escalate project issues early to mitigate risks.
- Ensure high-quality and on-time delivery of projects/sprints.
- Develop and maintain a project plan, resource allocation, schedule, and task distribution in collaboration with business users, developers, and stakeholders.
- Track and communicate project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks throughout the project.
- Coordinate cross-functional project activities across multiple teams and applications.
- Secure acceptance and approval of key deliverables based on the project management framework.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE |
About you
The ideal Project Manager:
- Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- PMP or CITPM certification is required.
- ITIL, Agile, or Scrum certifications are advantageous.
- Strong expertise in stakeholder management, including business, IT, and senior leadership.
- Deep understanding of systems integration across diverse technologies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to align multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA) for tracking, monitoring, and reporting project progress.
- Familiarity with Government Instruction Manual 8 is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to multitask and deliver results efficiently.
- Creative problem-solving abilities to resolve complex challenges.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
